May 8, 2020 – Red, White & Pink Hearts
This beautiful lap size quilt called for more than an all over design. It was custom stitched using peachy pink thread. Feathered hearts were custom designed for each heart and some smaller plain pink triangles. A scrolling heart design was used in the red border, and a heart design was used in each of the hexagons. Empty spaces were filled with stripes or stippling with hearts. The customer also added a flange border between the main body and the red border, which adds to the quilt’s beauty.

April 29, 2020 – Flowers for Mom
This beautiful flower-in-a-jar quilt has a special story. This quilt was pieced by a beginner quilter. During the down time of COVID-19, this male teacher spent his time learning a new skill. He learned to quilt. He made this quilt for his mother and gave it to her for Mother’s Day. Kudos to the customer for an excellent job of piecing and matching all of those points! The quilt was stitched with snow/white colored thread using the Leaves design by Wasatch Quilting.

What better way to welcome a new grandchild than with a baby blanket made by grandma? This bright colored strip quilt was stitched with a cornmeal colored thread using the Aubrey Daisies design by Anne Bright Designs. The stitching really shows up on the Ombre fabric backing, which changes from dark orange to cream.
April 2, 2020 – Lion
Animal quilts are popular this year, but none is more formidable than the lion. The customer who pieced this quilt made it for her granddaughter. The customer later discovered the school’s theme for the year was “Jesus, the lion”. Her granddaughter was thrilled! The quilt is a lap size measuring 52″ x 62″. It was stitched with military gold colored thread using the Aroma design, which resembles a lion’s mane, by Lorien Quilting (Intelligent Quilting).
