July 7, 2021 – Alaska











This beautiful quilt is called “Alaska”. It may be cold outside there, but cuddling up in this flannel-backed quilt would keep a person nice and warm. It was stitched with a linen colored thread using the Midnight Sparkle design by Kristin Hoftyzer (Digi Tech).

April 18, 2021 – Tribute to Dad












Two identical quilts were pieced for a brother and sister using shirts from their dad who had passed away from pancreatic cancer. The only difference in the quilts was the design used for quilting. They were both stitched with silver gray thread. The son’s quilt was quilted with the Scout Emblem design by Crystal Smythe (Intelligent Quilting). The daughter’s quilt was quilted with the Breast Cancer Ribbons design by Cyndi Herman (Intelligent Quilting).

April 14, 2021 – Sports and Service












The recipient of this t-shirt quilt was involved in sports, community service, and patriotic activities. His family relocated a few times and thus his interests encompass more than one state. Navy flannel was used for backing to give the quilt that cozy factor. It was stitched with gray thread using the Arabia design by Lisa Thiessen (Willow Leaf Studios).

April 10, 2021 – Chickens, et al












This fun window box quilt was pieced using fabrics with chickens and floral prints. It was stitched with light green thread using the Arabella design by Christy Dillon (My Creative Stitches).

April 6, 2021 – Songbirds of Fall












This whimsical quilt was pieced with fabrics containing birds and fall foliage. The pinwheels add the effect of bullet points to the rows of fabric. It was stitched with cream colored thread using the Songbird design by Christy Dillon (My Creative Stitches).
