July 14, 2020 – Heart of Her Family

   

Quilts are made for many reasons, but there is a tender story behind this one. It was made as a gift for a friend who had and is currently experiencing much heartache. The customer wanted to let her friend know that she is the rock (heart) of her family and that she was deeply loved. The quilt was stitched with a cream colored thread using the PS I Love You design by Christy Dillon (My Creative Stitches).

 

July 8, 2020 – Star Blocks and Piano Keys

 
This quilt is a perfect example of creating something beautiful and unique with one’s stash of fabrics. Not only was the top pieced with assorted fabrics, the backing was pieced as well. Nice job of using things on hand! The quilt measures 66″ x 86″ and was stitched with pastel blue thread using the Swirling design by Anne Bright Designs.

 

July 4, 2020 – Golden Stars and Strikes

 
 

This quilt is a favorite here at Loftworks Quilting. The colors are eye-catching and the intricate piecing is really well done. The customer originally planned to use the bowling themed fabric for one of her daughters who was on the school bowling team; however, it just seemed to fit for this quilt. It was stitched with light gray thread using the Feathers and Swirls design from Wasatch Quilting.

 

June 30, 2020 – June Wedding Quilt

 

June is the month for weddings, and the recipients of this quilt were absolutely thrilled with their gift. It was pieced with black, gray and white fabrics and measures 112″ x 92″. The quilt was made extra wide and long to accommodate a longer drape on the sides of the bed. It was stitched with a light gray thread using the Garland design by Christy Dillon (My Creative Stitches).

 

June 19, 2020 – Food and Fleur de Lis

 

This stunning quilt was made as a parting gift for a parish priest. It’s a large quilt measuring 105″ x 105″. The rich blue hues provide just the right touch of masculinity. The backing was also pieced using cream fabrics with words of faith. The quilt was stitched with white thread using the Fleur de Lis design by Anne Bright Designs. This is a memorable gift to be sure.
