August 30, 2020 – Pieces of Hope
Sometimes life doesn’t make sense, and we could use a little help in making things click. This cheerful, colorful quilt provides hope for putting the pieces together. The quilt was stitched with green thread using the Puzzle Meander design by Christy Dillon (My Creative Stitches).
August 27, 2020 – Happy Holidays
Anyone ready for snow? Neither are we. But, it’s great when someone actually gets a quilt finished in time for the season it represents. This lovely snowflake quilt was pieced using winter themed fabrics. The backing fabric was busy with lots of different shaped trees. It was stitched with a pale green thread using the exquisite Snow Crystals design by Anne Bright Designs.
August 10, 2020 – Team Spirit!
Even though football season is not normal for 2020, there’s no reason a person can’t have team spirit. The customer who made this chevron quilt is a fan of Nebraska football. The combination of Husker printed fabrics and the solid grays and blacks are a great tribute to the team. The backing is a red minky fabric, which really shows the quilted design. The quilt was stitched with a silver gray thread using the Husker Football design by Debra Geissler (Designs by Deb). Great quilt to cozy up in beside the fireplace, and maybe even watch a little football some day.
August 7, 2020 – Chicken Coop
Cock-a-doodle-doo! If you have fond memories of a farm lifestyle, this quilt is for you. This table topper size quilt is pieced using fabrics with roosters, chicken wire, barn siding, etc. You can almost hear the roosters crow! It was stitched with a putty colored thread using a meandering stipple design.
August 5, 2020 – Scrappy Box in a Box
This is another great use of stash fabrics. This box in a box quilt was pieced entirely with scraps/remnants in the customer’s stash, which included hers and hand-me-down fabrics. The backing was a minky fabric with sleepy time words. The quilt was stitched with a light pink thread using a meandering stipple design. Very cute quilt!
