December 15, 2018 – Wedding Gift: T-shirt Quilt

This queen size t-shirt quilt was commissioned as a wedding gift for the customer’s son and new daughter-in-law. The couple met through youth group activities. All of the shirts used in this quilt are from those activities. The quilt was stitched with gray thread using the Arabia design by Lisa Thiessen (Willow Leaf Studios). The couple were married in December.

November 7, 2018 – Leaf Prism

This lap size leaf prism quilt was pieced using multiple fabrics with leaf designs. The backing is a black fabric with raised dots, which gives it a three-dimensional effect. It was quilted with a dark rose (Chianti) thread using the Creeping Fig design by Patricia Ritter (Urban Elementz). This quilt will make a beautiful table topper or wall hanging.

November 6, 2018 – Christmas Chevron

This bright and cheery chevron quilt was pieced with winter seasonal fabrics. It was quilted with dark green thread using the Christmas Whimsy design by Patricia Ritter (Urban Elementz).

October 30, 2018 – Red and White Dahlias

Pictures do not do justice to this red and white quilt. The quilt is square at 66″ x 66″, and it was made as a Christmas gift by a woman for her granddaughter. To bring out the dahlia flowers in the white patterned fabric, the quilt was stitched with pale peach/pink thread using the Dahlia’s Delight design by Christy Dillon (My Creative Stitches). The colored thread created a shadow effect on the white patterned blocks, enhanced the dark rose and plaid blocks, and made the back display ready, too.

October 25, 2018 – Wool Warmth

With a pieced top and backing both made from wool, you can just feel the warmth of this quilt. The quilt is an extra long twin size, and is intended to be a Christmas gift for the customer’s son. It was stitched with black thread using the Football Stars design by Jessica Schick (Digi-Tech Designs).
