July 3, 2019 – Stars, Patchwork & Pinwheels

This beautiful square quilt is 86×86.  It was stitched with white thread using the Sweet Shoppe© design by Anne Bright Designs. What a beautiful use of white, gray and black colored fabric.

 

June 26, 2019 – Carpenter Star Quilt

This carpenter star quilt was custom stitched with sandstone thread on the top and light gray on the backing. The outer dark borders and dark triangles were stitched with feather patterns from Jennie’s Feathers Set© designed by Jessica Schick with Digi Tech Patterns. The carpenter star blocks were stitched with the Destiny Block 4© design by Christy Dillon with My Creative Stitches. The solid dark blocks were stitched with the Carpenter Star© design from Designs by Vickie, which was altered to include a striped background. The two-inch inner border was stitched using the Zen Roses© sashing design by Donna Kleinke with One Song Needle Arts.

 

June 18, 2019 – Memory Bear

This stuffed bear was made for the granddaughter of a very special lady who passed away recently. The bear was made using the Melody Memory BEAR© pattern from Funky Friends Factory and a sweater that the grandmother wore often. Hopefully, the bear will provide the recipient with comfort and wonderful memories of her grandmother.

 

June 15, 2019 – Lion King Crib Quilt

What a fun gift for a baby boy. This adorable crib quilt was pieced using Lion King© fabric in the window panes. The quilt was stitched with sandy golden brown thread (matching the gold objects in the fabric) using the Whirligig© design by Barbara Becker with Intelligent Quilting.

 

June 13, 2019 – Graduation Tribute

This t-shirt quilt was artfully pieced by the customer using shirts, sweatshirts, pants and other items from the recipient’s elementary through high school days. There were so many items to include that the backing (third picture) was actually a mini quilt surrounded by a blue border. In order not to detract from the quilt and memories, a cool gray thread was used with a meandering stitch.
