March 15, 2017 – 1600 Baltimore Quilt

 

 

 

This breath-taking, appliqued 1600 Baltimore quilt was pieced and appliqued by Judy Lindahl, Lincoln, NE. It was custom quilted with taupe (Mushroom) colored thread. The outer border triangles were quilted with diagonal lines. The appliqued flower bundles were outlined, then a circular frame was added and cobblestone pebbles were used as filler background. Each block contains diagonal lines, ribbon candy, and pearls. The blocks were separated with multiple lines, pearls and an open feather design (Jessica Schick, Digi-Tech) in the corners and sides.

 

 

February 25, 2017 – Male Graduation Quilt

 

Graduation is coming up fast, and t-shirt quilts make great gifts. This t-shirt quilt was made for a young man who was active in hockey and baseball. In addition to t-shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts and jackets were also used. A few of the blocks were made using smaller sections of multiple shirts. It was quilted with Navy colored thread using the Any Which Way design by Jessica Schick (Digi-Tech).

 

February 17, 2017 – Marvel Comics Quilt

 

A customer made this fun Marvel Comics quilt for her 8-year-old grandson. This was custom quilted with a bright variegated thread. The blocks were stitched with the Fireworks design by Deb Geissler (Digi-Tech). The inner border/sashings were quilted using the Little Bit of Stars design by Jessica Schick (Digi-Tech). The outer border was stitched using the Star Circle Echo sashing design by Jessica Schick (Digi-Tech).

 

February 5, 2017 – Lauren’s Graduation Quilt

 

This beautiful Scriptural quilt was made by a customer for her daughter’s college graduation. To give the quilt some swirling motion, it was stitched with white thread using the Embellished design by Hermione Agee (Digi-Tech).

 

January 26, 2017 – Orange & Blue Framed Twins

 

 

These quilts were made by a customer for two of her foster children. The orange and blue borders and sashings were reversed to give each child a unique quilt. Both quilts were stitched with white thread using the Kandinsky design by Patricia Ritter (Digi-Tech).
