June 20, 2017 – Jaybird Hexagon Quilt

This lap-size Jaybird quilt was custom quilted using cream colored thread.  Each whole hexagon (no seams) was stitched with the Forget Me Knot hexagon design by Janet Lee Santeusanio (Digi-Tech Designs). Each white/gray pieced hexagon was stitched with a Double Spiral hexagon design by Natalia Majors (Sun Stone Quilting, available through Intelligent Quilting). The contemporary backing was a collage of all of the colored fabrics from the pieced top.

June 16, 2017 – Taffy and the Beach

The customer who pieced this fun Taffy quilt requested a “beach” theme for the quilting. It was stitched with a pastel colored variegated thread using the Summer Fun Beach design by Nancy Haacke (Wasatch Quilting). If you can’t be on the beach, at least it would be fun to be surrounded by sandals, sunglasses, beach balls, starfish, buckets and sea shells.

June 8, 2017 – Anniversary Quilt – Stars & Diamonds

This colorful quilt was pieced by a group of women as an anniversary gift for one of the members of the group. They used three star blocks for the center of the backing. The quilt was custom quilted using light gray thread. The large colorful stars were outlined with four concentric star shapes. The white diamonds were stitched with a daggered medallion (the original medallion by Jessica Schick with Digi-Tech Designs was altered slightly to fit this specific quilt) in the center followed by multiple concentric diamond outlines. The six diamonds in the white stars were individually stitched with a smaller version of the daggered medallion and concentric diamond outlines and then the white star was completely outlined.
